We need to get more people thinking about how we, human beings, are going to use what we’re making for ourselves. I see parallels for this thinking in all design disciplines.</p> <p>I think we need to divorce ourselves from the idea that aesthetics is what design strives to further. Design isn’t aesthetics. Design is about experience— it’s about how we perceive, encounter, interact with, draw from, and eventually forget about a product.</p> <p>Products are not limited to any scale, size, medium or place. Products are the results of processes. The design process just happens to be intimately involved and informed, so our products (in whatever form they should take) should reflect that.</p> <p>Interaction design is all about identifying and following through with these considerations.
